Waimea Canyon Drive, between Nele Road and Kōke‘e Road, is open. It was closed due to a brush fire in the Kokee area, the county reported Monday afternoon, Aug. 15.
Multiple units are currently responding to the scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area. Updates will be posted as new information becomes available.
