Weekly Road Closures: Aug. 6-12

The state Department of Transportation issued its weekly list of road and lane closures for Aug. 6-12. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) KŌLOA (24/7 CONDITION)

Closure of the left turn from Maluhia Road onto westbound Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) starting from 9 p.m. Thursday, August 11, for intersection improvements.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) LĪHU‘E

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 2 and 3, between Hanamā‘ulu Road and Kaua‘i Beach Drive, on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.

2) WAILUA (24/7 CONDITION)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, for the Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

3) KAPA‘A

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 9 and 10, between Kawaihau Road and Kealia Beach Park, on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug.12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.

4) HANALEI

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 3.8 and 4.9, between Waikoko Bridge and Lumahai Beach Park, on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for landscaping, tree trimming, and debris removal.

5) WAINIHA

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 6 and 7, between Lumahai River and Wainiha Bay, on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.

— WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (ROUTE 550) —

1) KEKAHA

Right lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) possible in either direction between mile markers 8 and 10, on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

1) WAILUA

Single alternating lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction at mile marker 4.8, in the vicinity of ‘Āina Pono Street, on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for pavement edge and landscaping work.
