Kapa‘a Swimming Pool to Close for Renovations Until May 2023

The Kapa‘a Swimming Pool will be closed to the public starting Aug. 13 for renovations, the The Department of Parks and Recreation stated Monday, Aug. 1.

This project’s scope of work includes replacing and upgrading the pool filtration, recirculation, and chlorination systems. Renovations will also be made to the gutter edge and drainage systems. There will also be installation work of a new plaster finish of the pool’s interior and replacement of deck and lane tile markers.

Pacific Concrete Cutting & Coring, Inc., was awarded the construction contract for $891,259 for this project.

Officials anticipate construction to be complete by late May 2023.
