The state Department of Transportation issued its weekly road and lane closures for July 30 through Aug. 5 Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) WAILUA (24/7 CONDITION)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, for the Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

Two lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in either direction between mile markers 5.6 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, nightly from 8 p.m. Sunday, July 31, through 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, for paving for the Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

3) WAILUA

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction between mile markers 5.6 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, Monday, Aug. 1, through Friday, Aug. 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for survey work.

4) WAILUA (NIGHT WORK)

Full closure of the Wailua Mauka Bridge on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between the Kapa‘a Temporary Bypass and Leho Drive nightly from 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, through 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, for geotechnical work. Lihue (south) bound traffic will be contraflowed on the Wailua Plantation Bridge.

5) KAPA‘A TO KEALIA

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 9 and 10, Kawaihau Road and vicinity of Kealia Beach Park, on Monday, Aug. 1, through Friday, Aug. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.

6) KALIHIWAI

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 25 and 26, Kalihiwai Bridge and Princeville Airport, on Monday, Aug. 1, through Friday, Aug. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.

7) HANALEI

ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW AD

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 3.2 and 3.9, between Anae Road and Wai‘pa Bridge, on Monday, Aug. 1, through Thursday, Aug. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree trimming.

8) LUMAHAI TO WAINIHA

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 5 and 7, between Lumahai Beach Park and Wainiha Bay, on Monday, Aug. 1, through Friday, Aug. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.

— HALEWILI ROAD (ROUTE 540) —

1) ‘ELE‘ELE

Single alternating lane closure on Halewili Road (Route 540) possible in either direction between mile markers 1 and 3.8, on Monday, Aug. 1, through Friday, Aug. 5, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for restriping.

— WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (ROUTE 550) —

1) KEKAHA

Right lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) possible in either direction between mile markers 8 and 10, on Monday, Aug. 1, through Friday, Aug. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

1) WAILUA

Single alternating lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction between mile markers 3.5 and 5, Pa‘ako Street and Aina Pono Street, on Monday, Aug. 1, through Friday, Aug. 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for resurfacing.

2) WAILUA

Right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction between mile markers 5.3 and 6.5, vicinity of Wailua Reservoir and Moalepe Road, on Monday, August 1, through Thursday, August 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for resurfacing.
