Lane Closures Scheduled for Kalāheo Aug. 2-10

The Department of Public Works and its contractor Maui Kupuno Builders are announcing that portions of Kālaheo will be closed Aug. 2 to Aug. 10, weekdays, weather permitting.
The lane closures are necessary for road resurfacing work.
Lane closures will occur during the following dates and locations:
Aug. 2 to Aug. 4, Pu‘u Road, from Papalina Road near the Kukuiolono Golf Course to Lolo Road, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Aug. 5 to Aug. 10, Papalina Road, from Pu‘u Road near the Kukuiolono Golf Course to Kaumuali‘i Highway, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
With school in session, no work on Papalina Road will occur during the peak traffic times for school drop-off and pick-up.
Make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at both ends of the work zone to direct traffic.
