The Department of Water and Princeville Utilities Co., Inc. issued an immediate water conservation notice on Friday, July 29 for DOW customers in Kalihiwai Bay View Estates and on Anini Road due to an electrical issue affecting PUCI’s pumps. Customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only such as drinking, cooking and sanitation needs until further notice to avoid a full water service outage.
Additional conservation measures include turning off fixtures that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems and refraining from car washing.
An update will be provided when the conservation request has been lifted.
