Giving Pump Campaign to Benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities
One of the state’s largest gasoline marketers and convenience store operators wants to help a nonprofit organization that assists seriously ill keiki and their families.
Aloha Petroleum, which markets the Shell brand in Hawai‘i, invites drivers to participate in its upcoming Giving Pump campaign in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Hawai‘i. From Aug. 1-Oct. 31, designated gas pumps at select Shell stations throughout the state, including on Kaua‘i, will donate 1 cent per gallon to the nonprofit.
“Aloha is committed to our employees and customers and believes in giving back to the communities that we serve,” Casie Bui, Aloha Petroleum senior manager of sales operations and marketing, said in a press release. “We are proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities Hawai‘i and its mission to assist Hawai‘i’s families.”
Participating Kaua‘i locations include:
- Menehune Food Mart Shell, 2521 Kolo Road, Kīlauea.
- Aloha Hanamāʻulu Shell, 3-4280 Kūhiō Highway, Līhuʻe.
- Waimea Shell, 9862 Kaumualiʻi Highway, Waimea.

For 35 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities Hawai‘i has provided programs and partnerships aimed at improving the lives of children in the islands and the Pacific region. Aloha Petroleum has been a long-time supporter of the organization, volunteering to cook breakfast and lunches for patients and their families and donating house supplies on multiple occasions.
“It’s great knowing that we have friends like Aloha Petroleum within our community supporting our efforts,” Ronald McDonald House Charities Hawai‘i President Jerri Chong said in the press release. “These funds will help hundreds of kids seeking life-saving treatments stay close to their families while getting the care they need.”
