Update: As of 7:35 a.m., the situation at Sun Village Condos has ended peacefully, and the person is no longer barricaded. Kaua‘i Police continues with its investigation of the incident.

Original story: The Kaua‘i Police Department is responding to an incident at Sun Village Condos in Līhu‘e, involving a person who has apparently barricaded himself alone in an apartment.
