Update: The Hanalei refuse transfer station is now accepting trash, the county stated at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. However, the green waste remains closed. All other services are available.

Due to equipment issues and repairs, the Hanalei refuse transfer station is not accepting trash and green waste at this time. Metal and recycling services remain open, the county stated on Thursday.

The public is advised to utilize the Kapa‘a refuse transfer station for trash and green waste. Updates will be provided when trash and green waste services reopen at the Hanalei refuse transfer station. Mahalo for your patience.
