The state Department of Transportation issued its weekly road and lane closures for June 25 to July 1. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) WAILUA (NIGHT WORK)

Two-lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 5.6 and 6.7, Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Monday evening, June 27 through Friday morning, July 1, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for road widening.

2) KAPA‘A (24/7 WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 9.8 and 14, vicinity of Kapoli Street and Mailihuna Road, starting Sunday evening, June 26 at 7 p.m. and going through Friday morning, July 1, 24-hours a day, for pavement preservation work.

3) KĪLAUEA

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 22 and 27, Kaluamakua Place and Kapaka Street, on Monday, June 27 through Wednesday, June 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repair.

4) PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 2 and 4, Ohiki Road and Kumu Road, on Saturday, June 25, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for cutting grass and trees.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

1) WAILUA

Right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction between mile markers 2 and 6, Lilia Place and Uhau’iole Stream, on Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree and grass cutting and shoulder repair.
