Celebrate Freedom During Upcoming Festival in Līhuʻe

There will be something for all ages during an upcoming festival in Līhuʻe.

Island residents and visitors are invited to celebrate freedom with family festivities, food and fun during Kauaʻi 1st Freedom Fest from 3-9 p.m. Friday, July 1, at the Kauaʻi Veteran’s Center and Museum.

The festival is free to attend and free for all local vendors who want to participate. Activities will include face painting, a climbing wall, bounce house, giant slide and more, along with novelty, craft and food vendors.

Speakers during the event will include renowned human rights attorney Leigh Dundas; Alaska House of Representatives candidate Kelly Nash; “The Prodigy”, former professional MMA and Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert and Hawai’i gubernatorial candidate BJ Penn; “The People’s Mayor,” Kauaʻi mayoral candidate Megeso Denis; entrepreneur and business owner Jim Rosa; co-founder of For Our Rights Levana Lomma; entrepreneur, business owner and Kauaʻi County Council candidate Roy Saito; and Jural Assembly coordinator and moderator pro tem Dave Hamman.
