Box Jellyfish Signs Posted at Po‘ipū, Salt Pond

As of 11:25 a.m., Ocean Safety Bureau officials did not spot jellyfish in the Poipu area; however, jellyfish have been observed in Salt Pond.

County Ocean Safety officials are warning residents and visitors about box jellyfish at to two island beaches.

Box jellyfish signs were posted at Po‘ipū and Salt Pond beach parks. Beachgoers are urged to follow all warning signs. Officials advise no swimming.
