Lane Closures Scheduled For Portions of Olohena, Kamalu Roads

Guardrail repair work will require the closure of portions of two island roadways this week.

According to the county Department of Public Works and contractor GP Roadway Solutions, parts of Olohena and Kamalu roads in Wailua will be closed from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, June 20, and Wednesday, June 22, weather permitting.

Road closures include:

• Olohena Road near Malu Road will be closed Monday, June 20.
• Kamalu Road near ʻŌpaekaʻa Road will be closed Wednesday, June 22.

Motorists are advised to make appropriate arrangements to accommodate for the road closures, use alternate routes and allow extra time to get to their destinations. Flaggers will be positioned at both ends of the work zone to direct traffic.
