The state Department of Transportation issued its weekly list of road and lane closures for June 18-24. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) WAILUA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right lane and shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Sunday, June 19 through Friday, June 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

2) WAILUA (WEEKEND WORK)

Left lane closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the westbound direction between mile markers 6 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Kūhiō Highway and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Saturday, June 18, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road and shoulder work.

3) KAPA‘A (WEEKEND/WEEKLY/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 9.8 and 10.8, vicinity of Kapoli Street and Mailihuna Road, on Sunday evening, June 19 through Friday morning, June 24, from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for pavement reconstruction and resurfacing.

4) KĪLAUEA

ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW AD

Left lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction near mile marker 23.3, left turn lane into Kalamania Road, on Tuesday, June 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for test borings at the Kūhiō Highway and Kolo Road intersection.

5) PRINCEVILLE

Bridge closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions near mile marker 28, Hanalei Bridge, on Wednesday, June 22 through Thursday, June 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for replacing boards.

6) PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 2 and 4, Ohiki Road and Kumu Road, on Saturday, June 18, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Monday, June 20 through Friday, June 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for cutting grass and trees.
