Weekly Road Closures: June 11-17

The Department of Transportation issued its weekly list of road and lane closures for June 11-17. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTE 56) —

1) HANAMĀ‘ULU (NIGHT WORK)

Roving right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction between mile markers 3.1 and 4.4, Kaua‘i Beach Drive and Leho Drive, on Tuesday evening, June 14 through Friday morning, June 17, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for Hawaiian Telcom maintenance work.

2) WAILUA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right lane and shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Sunday, June 12 through Friday, June 17, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

3) KAPA‘A (WEEKEND/WEEKLY/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 9.8 and 10.8, vicinity of Kapoli Street and Mailihuna Road, on Friday evening, June 10 through Saturday morning, June 11 and Sunday evening, June 12 through Friday morning, June 17, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for pavement reconstruction and resurfacing.
