Yasutake Bridge, located on Kamalu Road north of Wailua Homesteads Park, will be closed until further notice starting at noon on June 10, 2022.
The closure is necessary for emergency bridge work.
A Federal Highway Administration audit recommends the closure of the bridge for the public’s safety until temporary repairs are in place.

The County estimates temporary repairs to Yasutake Bridge to take approximately three to four months. During the bridge closure, motorists may use a detour via Olohena Road, Pu‘uopae Road, and Opaeka‘a Road.
