Road Work Scheduled in Kapa‘a

Portions of Mailihuna Road, Hau‘a‘ala Road, and Kawaihau Road will be closed next week for clearing and grubbing work, roadway excavation, sidewalk construction, and roundabout construction.

The work is slated to take place from June 13-17 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Additionally, the intersection of Mailihuna Road, Hau‘a‘ala Road, and Kawaihau Road will experience temporary traffic shifts and detours with construction traffic controls being implemented, which can be viewed in the provided figure.

Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra travel time when driving near the work area and follow all construction traffic controls. Exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the work area.
