Firefighters responded Saturday afternoon, June 4, to a brush fire in the ‘Ele‘ele area near Glass Beach.
According to a preliminary report, firefighters were dispatched at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday. Firefighters from the Hanapēpē fire station, Rescue 3, Air 1, Tanker 1 and the on-duty battalion chief responded.
No road closures were reported, and no nearby structures were threatened at last report from the county late Saturday night.
