Weekly Road Closures: May 28 to June 3

The state Department of Transportation issued its weekly road and lane closure list for May 28 to June 3. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

There will be no daytime roadwork scheduled on Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day, unless permitted. Kūhiō Highway special use lanes will not be operational.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) PUHI TO ‘ŌMA‘O

Right lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile markers 2.9 and 8.8, vicinity of Kipu Road and ‘Ōma‘o Road, on Tuesday, May 31 through Friday, June 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for landscaping of shoulders and around guardrails.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) LĪHU‘E

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the eastbound direction between mile markers 0.9 and 1.3, Maona Road and Kapaia Road, on Tuesday, May 31 through Thursday, June 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree clearing.

2) WAILUA

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Monday, May 30 through Friday, June 3, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements.

3) KAPA‘A (WEEKEND/WEEKLY/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 9.8 and 10.8, vicinity of Kapoli Street and Mailihuna Road, on Sunday evening, May 29 through Friday morning, June 3, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for pavement reconstruction and resurfacing.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

1) WAILUA

Right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 6, Kūhiō Highway and Uhauiole Stream, on Tuesday, May 31 through Thursday, June 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree cutting.
