Lane Closures Rescheduled for Waha Road

Update: Because of mechanical issues with the contractor, road resurfacing work on Waha Road will now take place from May 31-June 1. 

Original story: A portion of Waha Road in Kālaheo, from Papalina Road to Niho Road, will be closed May 25 and May 26 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Department of Public Works and its contractor Maui Kupuno Builders are announced.

The lane closures are necessary for road resurfacing work.

Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at both ends of the work zone to direct traffic.
