Lane Closures Scheduled For Sections of Kapa‘a

Road construction in Kapa‘a will require the closure of portions of several roadways.

The county Department of Public Works and Grace Pacific LLC. announced that portions of Mailihuna, Hau‘a‘ala and Kawaihau roads will be closed from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. May 31-June 3. Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.

These closures are necessary for clearing and grubbing work, roadway excavation and sidewalk construction.

Motorists should allow for extra travel time when driving near the work area and follow all construction traffic controls, exercising caution and driving slowly when commuting through the area.
