Hanalei Transfer Station Now Reopen

Update: The county reported shortly after 1:30 p.m. that the Hanalei refuse transfer station is now open.
Original story: A spokesman for the county reported Wednesday, May 25, that because of mechanical issues, the refuse transfer station in Hanalei will be closed until further notice.
Residents are urged to bring their trash and green waste to the Kapaʻa transfer station.
