Weekly Road Closures: May 21-27

The state Department of Transportation issued its list of weekly road and lane closures for May 21-27. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) PUHI TO KŌLOA

Right lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile markers 2.4 and 6.7, vicinity of Anonui Street and Maluhia Road, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for landscaping of shoulders and around guardrails.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) WAILUA

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

2) WAILUA (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Wednesday evening, May 25 through Friday morning, May 27, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for driveway apron replacement work.

3) KAPA‘A (WEEKEND/WEEKLY/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 9.8 and 10.8, vicinity of Kapoli Street and Mailihuna Road, on Sunday evening, May 22 through Friday morning, May 27, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for pavement reconstruction and resurfacing.

4) KĪLAUEA

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 24 and 25.5, Kalihiwai Road and vicinity of Kalihiwai Bridge, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree trimming.

5) HANALEI

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 1.2 and 2.2, Ohiki Road and Aku Road, on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass and tree cutting.

6) HANALEI (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 1.2 and 2.3, Ohiki Road and Aku Road, on Saturday, May 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass and tree cutting.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

Right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.4 and 1.9 on Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree cutting.
