Weekly Lane Closures: May 14-20

The state Department of Transportation announced its weekly list of lane and road closures for May 14-20. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) LĪHU‘E

Single lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction at mile marker 0, vicinity of Rice Street, on Monday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for traffic signal camera maintenance.

2) PUHI TO KŌLOA

Roving single lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile markers 1.7 and 6.6, vicinity of Puhi Road and Maluhia Road, on Wednesday, May 18 through Friday, May 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for landscaping of shoulders and around guardrails.

3) PUHI

Single lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction at mile marker 1.97, vicinity of Anonui Street, on Monday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for traffic signal camera maintenance.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) WAILUA (24/7)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, for the Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

2) KAPA‘A (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 9.87 and 10.73, vicinity of Kapoli Street and Mailihuna Road, on Sunday, May 15 through Friday, May 20, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for pavement reconstruction and resurfacing.

3) KĪLAUEA

Single lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 24 and 25, Kalihiwai Road and vicinity of Kalihiwai Bridge, on Monday, May 16 through Friday, May 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree trimming.

4) HANALEI (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 1.2 and 2.3, Ohiki Road and Aku Road, on Saturday, May 14, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Monday, May 16 through Friday, May 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for drain clearing and cleaning.

— NAWILIWILI ROAD (ROUTE 58) —

Single lane closure of Nawiliwili Road (Route 58) possible in either direction between mile markers 1.2 and 2, vicinity of Kaumuali‘i Highway and Aheahe Street, on Monday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for traffic signal camera maintenance.

Right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.8 and 1 on Monday, May 16 through Friday, May 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree and grass cutting.
