Lane closures for portions of roadways in Kalāheo that were planned for late last week and earlier this week have been postponed until later this week.

According to the county, Maui Kupono Builders will now do scheduled road repaving work along portions of Kai Ikena Drive and Uka Ikena Street on Thursday and Friday, May 12-13. The work was originally planned to be done May 6 and 9.

One lane of Kai Ikena Drive and Uka Ikena Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays only. The remaining open lane will accommodate alternating traffic in both directions with flaggers positioned at the ends of the closures to direct traffic. No parking will be allowed in the work zones during this time.
