Search Operation Underway for Missing Lāwaʻi man

Multiple agencies are conducting search operations for a Lāwaʻi man who went missing after hiking into Kōke‘e in the vicinity of the Miloliʻi Ridge Road on Sunday, May 8.

Fifty-year-old Moses Gardner was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and carrying a camouflage backpack. Gardner is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and weighs 240 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and is of Hawaiian descent.

The multi-agency search party includes the Kauaʻi Police Department, Kauaʻi Fire Department, Kauaʻi Search and Rescue Team and the Department of Land and Natural Resources.
