Visitor Airlifted From Queen’s Bath

Firefighters airlifted an injured 57-year-old Florida man from Queen’s Bath, in Princeville, on Friday afternoon.

First responders were notified around 4:30 p.m. of man who reportedly fell and injured his ankle at Queen’s Bath. Hanalei firefighters arrived on scene and hiked to the man’s location, where they found him sitting on the rocks near the water. They splinted his ankle while Rescue 3 personnel aboard Air 1 were dispatched to the scene.

Once on scene, rescuers airlifted the man to a nearby landing zone where awaiting AMR medics provided additional support and treatment.

The access gate to Queen’s Bath has been closed to the public since October 2021 for the high surf winter season. The gate remains closed until further notice.
