Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for May 7-13. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

WAILUA (24/7)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapaʻa Bypass, for the Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

KĪLAUEA

Right lane closure of Kuhio Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 24 and 25, Kalihiwai Road and Kalihiwai River Bridge, on Monday, May 9 through Friday, May 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree trimming.

HANALEI (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 1.2 and 2.3, Ohiki Road and Aku Road, on Saturday, May 7, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Monday, May 9 through May 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for drain clearing and cleaning.

HANALEI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) between Hanalei Bridge and Hanalei Town in the vicinity of mile marker 1.6 on Saturday, May 7, from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, May 8, for emergency slope stabilization. Traffic in both directions will be allowed with alternating traffic control (contraflow).

— KUAMOʻO ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

WAILUA

Right lane closure on Kuamoʻo Road (Route 580) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 3, Kūhiō Highway and Pokukala Street, on Monday, May 9 through Friday, May 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree and grass cutting.
