New cases are up slightly on Kaua‘i.

During the county’s weekly info briefing, Mayor Derek Kawakami said the seven-day average on new cases on the Garden Isle is 27, up from 25 last week. Two weeks ago, the average was at 10.

The numbers are likely up because of the availability of at-home test kits. Cases are on the rise statewide as well.
