Call For 2022 Kauaʻi Poke Fest Competitors

How are your poke skills? Do you think your poke is the best? Want to find out?

Koloa Landing Resort is seeking participants for the 2022 Kauaʻi Poke Fest poke competition. The competition is scheduled for May 28, and professional and amateur chefs with an original poke recipe are welcome to sign up.

Registration deadline is May 9.

Contestants will be provided poke-grade ahi and a $150 stipend to offset costs for their own ingredients. Each dish will be judged based on presentation, originality and taste.

There will be three winners, each receiving the following prizes:

• Third place: One-night stay in a studio suite at Koloa Landing resort and $250 cash.
• Second place: Two-night stay in a one-bedroom villa at the resort, $500 cash and a one-day private poolside cabana at the resort’s main pool.
• First place: Seven-day, six-night stay in a two-bedroom villa at the resort, two-day private poolside cabana and their winning poke dish will be added to the menu at the resort’s Holoholo Grill.
