Weekly Road Closures: April 23-29

The state Department of Transportation released its weekly list of road and lane closures for April 23-29. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) WAILUA

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road and shoulder work.

2) KAPA‘A

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction near mile marker 24.7, Kahiliholo Road, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree trimming.

3) HANALEI (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) in the northbound direction between mile markers 1.2 and 2.2, Ohiki Road and Aku Road, on Saturday, April 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for drain clearing and cleaning.

4) HANALEI

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 1.3 and 2.2, Ohiki Road and Aku Road, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for drain clearing and cleaning.

5) HANALEI

Lane shift/narrowing on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) near mile marker 1.6, Hanalei Bridge to Hanalei Town, starting Thursday, April 14 until further notice, for emergency traffic zone work due to Hanalei River erosion.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

1) WAILUA

Right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 1.3, Kūhiō Highway and Uhau’iole Stream, on Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree and grass cutting.
