Lane Closures Scheduled in Kapaʻa

Portions of Mailihuna Road and Kawaihau Road will be closed from April 11 to April 14 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Hau‘a‘ala Road will also experience a full road closure on April 12 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m, and a full closure the night of Wednesday, April 13, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Additionally, the makai driveway to Kapaʻa High School’s Athletic Field may experience temporary closures.

These closures are necessary for clear and grubbing, excavating for water servicing and sidewalk construction.

Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra travel time when driving near the work area and follow all construction traffic controls. Please exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the work area and along the detour route through Kolohala Road, which is narrow and near the homes of residents.
