Weekly Road Closures: April 2-8

The state Department of Transportation issued its weekly list of road and lane closures for April 2-8. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) HANAPEPE TO WAIMEA (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile markers 17 and 21, Lele Road and Poke Road, on Saturday, April 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass trimming.

2) MAKAWELI TO WAIMEA

Right lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile markers 20.6 and 22.5, Kaumakani Avenue and Ala Wai Road, on Monday, April 4 through Friday, April 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for cleaning and clearing guardrails.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) WAILUA

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Monday, April 4 through Friday, April 8, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road and shoulder work.

2) KAPA‘A (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure and lane shift of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 6.6 and 7.8, Papaloa Road and Kipuni Place, on Monday evening, April 4 through Friday morning, April 8, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for road maintenance work. Southbound traffic will be shifted into one of the northbound lanes. North bound traffic will be merged into one lane.

3) KAPA‘A

Single lane closure and of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 7.1 and 7.6, Aleka Loop and Ala Road, on Tuesday, April 5 through Friday, April 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for striping work.

4) PRINCEVILLE

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 26.5 and 27.5, Anini Vista Drive and Kapaka Street, on Monday, April 4 through Friday, April 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree cutting.

5) PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) in the northbound direction between mile markers 1.2 and 2.4, Ohiki Road and Aku Road, on Saturday, April 2, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Monday, April 4 through Friday, April 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for drainage clearing work.
