A high surf advisory was issued Friday afternoon for Ni‘ihau and Kaua‘i, the National Weather Service stated.
It is expected to last until 6 p.m. Saturday.
A northwest swell arrives tonight building surf heights along most north and west facing shores. Waves can reach 12-16 feet, NWS stated. Expect strong breaking waves, shore break,
and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult and dangerous.
