Various Lane, Road Closures Scheduled in Kapaʻa

Various lane and road closures are scheduled to start next week in Kapaʻa.

Mailihuna Road will be closed from April 4-8 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Kolohala Road will also experience a full road closure from April 4-20; only local traffic will be permitted through, according to the Department of Public Works.

The makai driveway to Kapaʻa High School’s Athletic Field may also experience temporary closures.

These closures are necessary for sidewalk construction, curb and gutter construction, roadway excavation, and roadway paving.

Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra travel time when driving near the work area and follow all construction traffic controls. Please exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the work area.
