UPDATE: Green waste is now open at the Līhu‘e refuse transfer station. The county reported Thursday, March 31, that the facility was open again.

Green waste is closed until further notice at the Līhu‘e refuse transfer station due to equipment issues, the County of Kaua‘i announced Tuesday, March 29.

Green waste at Līhu‘e is estimated to reopen this weekend.

Residents are requested to hold their green waste if possible or utilize the green waste facilities in Kapa‘a. Commercial loads may be dropped at Kaua‘i Nursery and Landscaping. Call 808-245-7747 for more information.

Updates will be given when the green waste service reopens at the Līhu‘e refuse transfer station.
