Portion of ʻŌmaʻo Road to Be Closed

Road crews will be on the job next week, requiring a portion of a Kaua‘i roadway to be closed.

The county Department of Water announced Thursday, March 24, in a news release that part of ʻŌmaʻo Road, from Kaumuali‘i Highway to Eke Road, will be closed for road work from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, March 31, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to plan accordingly for the temporary road closure and use alternate routes. Road closure signs will be posted.

Water service also will be turned off to four customers on ʻŌmaʻo Road in order to accommodate the work. Customers will be notified via door-to-door notice.
