Kaua‘i Weekly Lane Closures: March 19-25

Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced lane closures for the week of March 19-25. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

There will be no daytime roadwork scheduled on Friday, March 25 in observance of Prince Kūhiō Day, unless permitted. Kūhiō Highway special use lanes will not be operational.

Right lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile markers 17 and 22.5, Lele Road and Poke Road, on Monday, March 21 through Thursday, March 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTE 56) —

WAILUA

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Tuesday, March 22 through Friday, March 25, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road and shoulder work.

KĪLAUEA (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 19 and 21.6, Kapuna Road and Wailapa Road, on Tuesday evening, March 22 through Friday morning, March 25, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for road reconstruction and resurfacing.

PRINCEVILLE

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction near mile marker 27.3, Kapaka Street, on Monday, March 21 through Thursday, March 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming.

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction near mile marker 28.1, Emmalani Drive, on Monday, March 21 through Friday, March 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.
