UPDATE: The Kaua‘i Police Department reported shortly before 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17, that the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident has been located. Police thanks the public for its assistance.

The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help with finding a driver involved in a hit-and-run incident.

According to a police news release, at about 1 p.m. March 4, a dark gray or black Honda Ridgeline truck with surf racks and an aftermarket logo on the driver’s side door struck a pedestrian in the Costco/Home Depot parking lot.

The suspect driving the vehicle subsequently fled the scene.

The pedestrian, a 26-year-old Līhu‘e man, was treated at Wilcox Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
