Motor Vehicle Registration Office to Close Early

Staff training will require the Motor Vehicle Registration Division of the county Department of Motor Vehicles to close early later this week.

According to a news release from the county, the registration division office will close at 3 p.m. Friday, March 18, to accommodate for the training. Normal hours will resume Monday, March 21.

The last customers of the Motor Vehicle Registration Division will be seen at 2:36 p.m. Friday. The Drivers Licensing Division will remain open during regular operating hours.

The DMV is normally open from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on state and federal holidays, to all customers. Kupuna Hour for customers age 65 and older is from 8 a.m.-8:45 a.m., with no appointments necessary.

Appointments are encouraged, and those with scheduled appointments can check in up to 15 minutes early. If you are more than five minutes late, the appointment will be canceled and you will then be considered a walk-in customer. E-ticket and walk-in customers will be served as time permits.
