Lane Closures Planned Near King Kaumuali’i Elementary School March 14-18

The Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC. announced that sections of ‘Akuli Street and Hanamāʻulu Road will be under short lane closures from March 14-18, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The lane closures are necessary for construction improvements to pedestrian access to the school, including new sidewalks, crosswalks, and ADA ramps. Safe walking routes for students, parents, and pedestrians will be provided and are shown in the attached figure below.

As a reminder, the speed limit is 15 mph near King Kaumuali‘i Elementary school while school is in session. This project is scheduled to be completed in June 2022.
