Lane Closures Scheduled For Portions of Mahea Street

Road resurfacing work will require lane closures on portions of Mahea Street in ‘Ele‘ele next week.

The county Department of Public Works and its contractor, Maui Kupono Builders, announced in a news release that portions of Mahea Street will be closed from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. for the work, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to make appropriate arrangements to accommodate the closures, use alternate routes and allow extra time to get to their destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones.

Flaggers will be positioned at the ends of the closures to direct traffic.
