Weekly Road Closures: March 5-11

The state Department of Transportation announced its list of road and lane closures for the week of March 5-11. Lane closure schedules can change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI’I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) LĀWAʻI

Right lane closure of Kaumuali’i Highway (Route 50) in both directions between mile markers 8.6 and 9.3, Maha Road and Upa Road, on Monday, March 7, through Wednesday, March 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.

2) LĀWAʻI

Right lane closure of Kaumuali’i Highway (Route 50) in the westbound direction between mile markers 9.4 and 10.4, Piko Road and Kōloa Road, on Thursday, March 10, through Friday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for tree trimming.

3) KALĀHEO

Right lane closure of Kaumuali’i Highway (Route 50) in the westbound direction between mile markers 10.6 and 11.2, Kuli Road and Anuhea Place, on Monday, March 7, through Friday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for tree trimming.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) LĪHUʻE

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 0.8 and 1.7, Māʻona Road and Laukōnā Street, on Monday, March 7, through Friday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.

2) LĪHUʻE

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 2 and 6, Hanamāʻulu Road and Kuamoʻo Road, on Monday, March 7, through Friday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.

3) WAILUA

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapaʻa Bypass, on Monday, March 7, through Friday, March 11, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road and shoulder work.

4) KĪLAUEA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 19 and 21.6, Kapuna Road and Wailapa Road, on Sunday evening, March 6, through Friday morning, March 11, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for road reconstruction and resurfacing.

5) PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 27 and 28.2, Ka Haku Road and ʻAnini Stream, on Saturday, March 5, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.

6) PRINCEVILLE TO HĀʻENA

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 0 and 10, Ka Haku Road and Hāʻena State Park, on Monday, March 7, through Friday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.
