Motor Vehicle Registration at DMV to Close Early

Staff training will require one county office to close early later this week.

According to a news release from the county, the Motor Vehicle Registration division of the Department of Motor Vehicles will close at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 3, to accommodate for the training session. Normal hours will resume Friday, March 4.

The last customers will be seen at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The Drivers Licensing division will remain open during regular operating hours.

The DMV is regularly open to all customers from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on state and federal holidays. Kupuna Hour for customers 65 and older is from 8-8:45 a.m., with no appointments necessary.

Appointments are encouraged, and those with scheduled appointments can check in up to 15 minutes prior to their appointment time. If you are more than five minutes late, the appointment will be canceled and you will then be considered a walk-in customer.

E-ticket and walk-in customers will be served as time permits.
