Weekly Road Closures: Feb. 26-March 4

The state Department of Transportation announced its list of road and lane closures for the week of Feb. 26 through March 4. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) LAWAI TO KALAHEO

Right lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in the westbound direction between mile markers 9.5 and 11.6, Piko Road and Silva Tract Road, on Monday, Feb. 28 through Friday, March 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for tree trimming.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) LĪHU‘E (NIGHT/WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 0.1 and 0.5, Hardy Street and Ahukini Road, on Sunday evening, Feb. 27 through Wednesday morning, March 2, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for utility work (Hawaiian Telcom).

2) LĪHU‘E

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 0.7 and 2, Eha Street and Laulima Street, on Monday, Feb. 28 through Thursday, March 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.

3) LĪHU‘E

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 2 and 6, Hanamā‘ulu Road and Kuamo‘o Road, on Wednesday, March 2 through Thursday, March 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.

4) WAILUA

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Monday, Feb. 28 through Friday, March 4, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road and shoulder work.

5) KEALIA (24-HOUR/WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right shoulder closure and realignment of lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 11.8 and 13, Makanani Street and Kukuihale Road, on Sunday, Feb. 27 through Friday, March 4, 24-hours-a-day, for shoulder work.

6) KĪLAUEA (NIGHT/WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 19 and 21.6, Kapuna Road and Wailapa Road, on Sunday evening, Feb. 27 through Friday morning, March 4, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for road reconstruction and resurfacing.

7) PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 27 and 28, Ka Haku Road and Anini Stream, on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 28 through Thursday, March 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.

8) WAINIHA

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) in the southbound direction between mile markers 6 and 6.5, Kūhiō Highway and Ananalu Road, on Monday, Feb. 28 through Friday, March 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree trimming.
