The Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division is announcing modified operating hours for the Kekaha Landfill on March 4 due to maintenance work on the truck scale. The landfill will be open from noon to 4 p.m.
The landfill’s normal operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for commercial loads and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for residential loads. The landfill is closed for lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. The landfill will resume its regular hours on March 5.
The public is advised to utilized the Hanapēpē refuse transfer station during the half-day closure of the landfill on March 4.
