Weekly Lane Closures: Feb. 19-25

The state Department of Transportation announced its weekly land and road closures for the week of Feb. 19-25. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

There will be no daytime roadwork scheduled on Monday, Feb. 21 in observance of Presidents Day, unless permitted. Kuhio Highway special use lanes will not be operational.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) LĪHU‘E TO HANAPEPE

Right lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in the westbound direction between mile markers 2.1 and 17, Anonui Street and Lele Road, on Tuesday, Feb. 22 through Friday, Feb. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repair.

2) HANAPEPE TO PAKALA VILLAGE (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in the southbound direction between mile markers 17 and 21.4, Lele Road and Poke Road, on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

3) HANAPEPE TO MAKAWELI (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in both directions between mile markers 17.3 and 20.7, Lele Road and Kaumakani Avenue, on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTE 56) —

1) WAILUA

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Monday, Feb. 21 through Friday, Feb. 25, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road and shoulder work.

2) KEALIA (24-HOUR/WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right shoulder closure and realignment of lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 11.8 and 13, Makanani Street and Kukuihale Road, on Sunday, Feb. 20 through Friday, Feb. 25, 24-hours-a-day, for shoulder work.

3) KĪLAUEA (NIGHT/WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 19 and 21.6, Kapuna Road and Wailapa Road, on Sunday evening, Feb. 20 through Friday morning, Feb. 25, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for road reconstruction and resurfacing.

4) KĪLAUEA

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 22 and 24, Kūhiō Highway and Kalihiwai Road, on Tuesday, Feb. 22 through Friday, Feb. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.

5) PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 27 and 27.5, Ka Haku Road and Anini Stream, on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.

6) PRINCEVILLE

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 27 and 28, Ka Haku Road and Anini Stream, on Tuesday, Feb. 22 through Friday, Feb. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming.
