Kaua‘i District Health Office: 53 New COVID Cases Reported Sunday

The state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office announced 53 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.

Sunday’s cases bring the number of active cases to 494, with 11 hospitalized, and 11,045 cumulative cases. Kaua‘i’s cumulative case count includes 10,966 confirmed locally, eight probable and 71 positive cases diagnosed elsewhere, as they received their pre-travel test results after arriving on island.

Free vaccination is offered islandwide. Vaccinations are available to anyone 5 and older. For details about vaccination sites, click here.

The Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall COVID testing center is no longer running out of tickets for testing by 9 a.m. Tests are available for the public. Upon arrival at the test center, you will receive an appointment time to return later in the day.

Appointments are given on a first-come, first-served basis. You must wait until your ticketed time to be tested.

The Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall testing center is limited to 500 tests per day, and the free mobile testing van is limited to 100 tests per day.
