A high surf advisory, with surf 14 to 18 feet, was extended until 6 p.m. Sunday for north-facing shores of Ni‘ihau, Kaua‘i, O‘ahu, Moloka‘i and Maui, the National Weather Serviced cautioned Saturday afternoon.

The surf is expected to lower to 8 to 12 feet along the west facing shores of Ni‘ihau, Kaua‘i, O‘ahu, Moloka‘i

Beachgoers should expect moderate impacts, strong breaking waves, shore break, and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult and dangerous, NWS stated.
