County Internet Down Due to Network and Server Outage

The County of Kaua‘i’s server and network is back online.

County services, such as the Department of Motor Vehicles and other customer service counters, are restored and available to the public.

Original Story

A mechanical issue overnight resulted in the outage of the county’s server and network. While county phone service remains unaffected, there is no internet access and sporadic email service for all county employees.

The public is advised that services at the Līhu‘e Civic Center, such as the Department of Motor Vehicles and other customer service counters, may be down or delayed through today.

Calls to 911 and Police Dispatch are not affected by this server outage.

Officials are working to restore service, and updates will be posted as information becomes available.
